Stress free tips for Mums.....

MUMS are some of the busiest people on the planet. From working a nine-to-five job to getting the kids off the school or from attending soccer games to chaperoning a slumber party, a mum's feet never seem to stay still. Some mums are responsible for taking care of their ageing parents as well. ( I had this experience before but was very lucky coz i have a very good maid to assist me.........missed those days...missed my old parents)

With this almost frantic pace, increased stress can impact many areas of life such as work, family and other relationships. Stress can cause on to experience irritability, impatience and distractibility. For busy mums, stress management is a necessity. Here are tips to assist in living a more stress-free life.

:-)         Determine, no matter what, to create time for self. For some busy mums, maybe it's a soothing bubble bath at the end of the day. For others, it could be a quick trip to the local spa for facial or body massage. The activity really really doesn't matter as long as busy mums take some time for themselves.

:-)     Listen to calm, soothing music on the way to work, while at work, and while going to sleep. Music has a way of calming and soothing the mind and the body.

:-)     Practice deep abdomical breathing periodically throughout the day. Breath in deeply through the nose  pulling the belly button towards the spine, hold for a few seconds, and then slowly release. Busy mums will be pleasantly surprised at how this simple technique can result in a more relaxed body and mind. This can be done in any environment.

:-)     Take time to exercise. Exercise helps to increase self-esteem, decrease depression, increase concentration and energy, and gives one a greater sense of control over stress. Hitting the local gym is not always necessary. Taking a 15-minute walk around the neighbourhood, taking walks on lunch breaks, taking the steps instead of an elevator and parking farther away when shopping are examples of how busy mums can squeeze in exercise during the day.

:-)     Eat healthy. There are foods that promote calmness and foods that increased stress levels. Busy mums can ask themselves if they are eating too much sugar and caffeine, and if they are getting enough protein. They can also evaluate if they eating plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables and staying away from refined and processed foods. Healthy eating is very important for any busy mum. Taking a look at diets and making the necessary changes can result in increased optimal health.

:-)     Call a friend. For any busy mum, it is always important in life to have at least one relationship where they can just vent and know that a listening ear and unconditional acceptance will be given. Friend who really cares...

:-)     Practice thinking calmly. Everyone has a favourite place that is peaceful, soothing and calm. When stress levels increase, busy mums can take a mental break and visualise that special place. They can take note of the sights, sounds and smells. It is important to continue to do this until relaxation is felt. Busy mums will notice that the stress they are experiencing will be less and more manageable.

:-)     Have a sense of humour. We all are familiar with the saying, "laughter is the best medicine". This is so true. Be willing to laugh at personal mistakes. Tach a funny movie. Share a joke with a friend. In other words, lighten up. It will make such a difference.

:-)    Have a window shopping around..not to spend but to envy or to admire d goodies.....you can do it on yr own if u feel at ease or with a chatting friend...

"THE BUSIER WE ARE, THE MORE ACUTELY WE FEEL THAT WE LIVE."

Live life the fullest..do not live life sad....so as to make us feel d best in everything we do..cherish our time by doing special things for ourself..we need it..if not we'll grow old faster & wasted our life for being too busy to make it thru the years...By the end of the day, all the miseries and pain will come to us....
Remember the saying: Dream about what please u
Go where u want 2 go
Be who u want 2 be
                                     u only have ONE life
to do what makes u happy.........

Last but not least, Always be thankful to the Creator....InsyaAllah...no matter how busy u r mum, u can be happy in your life coz you enjoyed yr life very much....I am happy for myself eventho i had wasted 2hrs each day for 5 days on d road travelling up & down to work....work was always very hectic but i still have my happy time everiday..sometimes, i had all forgotten abt being lethargic driving to & fro...Thank God for giving me the full strength in doing my chaos...Thank God for having a good & loyal maid to handle my house for 9 solid years now..Thank God for giving me all the opportunities for improvement...Thank God for my understanding & well-behaved children (InsyaAllah)..Thank God for everything ........................:)

Sweet dreams & may u dream of all the goodies.....
